hTWOo on Microsoft the Cloud Show ep. 407
Last week I had the great honour to talk with friend Andrew Connell about my newest project, hTWOo UI, on the Microsoft Cloud Show. I highly recommend listening to this podcast in general but in specific this episode.
We talked about the ideas and concept behind hTWOo, Fluent Design and the current problem developers facing. Especially why it is a suitable alternative for your development on the Microsoft 365 platform.
Check out Episode 407 and enjoy!!!
New version of SimpleStyle Guide Yeoman generator released and it comes with a lot of changes
When I looked at the repository of my SimpleStyle Guide, I couldn’t believe that it was almost two years ago when I started this side project. Which those two years this Style Guide helped me in many projects to document all the changes in classic as well on the modern experience in SharePoint and Office 365.
SimpleStyle version 0.3 released – Yeoman
It’s been a while since the first release of the SimpleStyle yeoman generator. In the mean time some smaller releases happened and things have been patched up.
Recently I made some additional enhancements that now lead to the release of version 0.3 available now to install.
The following improvements have been made.
Yo SimpleStyle – First release of my yeoman generator is now available
Last year I released a style guide generator for your SharePoint and Office 365 development.
This year I proudly present a yeoman generator that helps you to get started faster on your next project. There is no need to clone the old repository anymore. Simply create a new project as needed based on this template engine.
To be honest the old version of the Simple Style Guide is currently outdated and shouldn’t be used anymore.
SharePoint Saturday Stockholm – What an event!
Last weekend I had the great opportunity to speak at the SharePoint Saturday Stockholm for the very first time. This event is really great because I already attended the last two events too, and it was a great time to visit this beautiful city as well as meet some friends.
On Saturday I had my session in a packed full room and sorry for the people who had to stand at the back. A big thanks to all the attendees.
Style Guide generator for SharePoint and Office 365 Development released
We are currently at the dawn of a new age in web development. Future web developments will be based on components not on frameworks anymore. While the browser support for web components lacks in Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari. We can already start to think differently when we develop any solution for the web.
To add my part to build new web applications and web design based on components I created a style guide application for SharePoint and Office 365. Also can share with you links where you can buy Mac Office, if you’re a fan of Apple (saveonit.com, etc).
The Design of Office Quick Contacts (Office PNP Sample)
Recently Waldek Mastykarz (@waldekm) and I developed a sample for the Office Pattern and Practices. This sample query contact information by using the Microsoft Graph. We also optimism the user interface for mobile use.
While Waldek took care of the technical development of this sample I was responsible for the user experience and user interface design.
SPS Antwerp – On week later
Last Saturday I had the great opportunity to speak at the SharePoint Point Saturday Belgium in Antwerp. It was my first public speaking, I ever did. First, I like to thank the whole SPS Belgium team to make this happen. It was a great event at the ALM. It was a beautiful location.
